1. Three Panasonic HPX3000 cameras, combined with an array of Canon HJ series HD zoom lenses. Using the AVC-Intra codec, these superb cameras are among the world's elite, offering true full raster 1920 X 1080 progressive recording on board at near D-5 mastering quality, or D5 quality when recording through their HD-SDI outputs to our decks. Designed for cinema-quality movie, commercial and TV program production, the HPX3000 combines the ultra reliability of P2 HD solid-state recording, high-end features such as three 2/3" high density 2.2 million pixel CCDs, and six advanced gamma settings, including Film-Rec mode, made popular by the VariCam, but at 1080p. Tests have concluded that the HPX 3000 combines images that are noticeably sharper than the highly regarded Sony F900R and visually indistinguishable from the hyper-expensive Sony F23, while capturing the beautiful colors and film-like images that the Panasonic VariCam is famous for. That's a winning combination!

2. Our 120 ft. green screen cyclorama (40 ft. across the back wall and 40 ft. up the two side walls), combined with our Ultimatte HD chromakeyers, high-end lighting and dimming system, and in-house camera dollies and jibs, allow you to create fabulous television programs and movies entirely from our sound stage. That means that your actors can be in a scene at the beach, climbing a mountain, in a large hotel lobby, in a mansion's living room, in a restaurant, or on another planet, all without ever leaving our studio. This results in staggering time and money savings, and allows for beautiful locations that otherwise would not be feasible. Movies like Sin City, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, and 300: March to Glory have used this technique with great effectiveness. But now Southeastern Studios takes this one giant leap further:

3. LIVE GREEN SCREEN COMPOSITING! As advantageous as green screen movie and television production have proven to be, up until now there's been one major drawback: after the filming of the actors on the green set, many months are needed to painstakingly add the scene backgrounds that make the actors appear to be in the locations that the movie calls for rather than in the green room in which they were filmed. This process is not only slow, it can cost millions of dollars, sometimes even mitigating the advantages that green screen production seems to provide. That's where we come in. Southeastern Studios owns and operates one of the first high definition 3D virtual studio systems in North America, and the only one that is combined with ultra high quality television and movie production equipment. We create the movie background environments in advance, with our machine inserting the actors into the scene live as they perform. That's right -- we offer LIVE GREEN SCREEN COMPOSITING! When your actors walk off the set, you've got your finished scene. That will save you and your project many months of time and thousands, perhaps even millions, of dollars.
